The Anamosa State Penitentiary Museum showcases the 150-year history of Iowa's largest prison. The museum offers displays describing prison life, the role of the "guard" through the years, and a huge variety of photographs from the prison's early days.
Dioramas of quarrying and construction techniques, a full-sized replica of a cell, videos about the prison's overall history and the role of sports, and much more!
